How It Began.
The story of OZONE RUN begins with a simple, uncomfortable observation. Bilova Vunnam & Teerdha Vunnam, while walking through a residential neighbourhood in Hyderabad, counted more than forty outdoor AC units on a single building facade — each expelling hot air into an already sweltering street below.

That question became a movement. Teerdha began researching the connection between CFCs, heat islands, and ozone depletion. She shared her findings with her school, then her city, and then — through the SWAN Changemaker network — with the nation.
OZONE RUN was born from the conviction that collective physical movement creates collective environmental awareness.
Urban heat islands — the silent climate crisis in every Indian city. Over 40 AC units on a single building facade expelling hot air into sweltering streets.
The Earth Is Speaking.
The ozone layer absorbs 97–99% of the sun's harmful ultraviolet radiation. As it depletes, life on Earth faces existential consequences.
